Emergency Action Plan

Puck Building Emergency Protocol

The building coordinates a handful of Emergency Action Protocol (EAP) drills throughout the year and anyone working from the 7th floor is highly encouraged to attend. These drills include: fire safety, active shooter protocol, and other non-fire emergencies. Please familiarize yourself with the EAP overview below.

Fire Emergencies

Deputies on L7: Taylor Griffin, Mackenzie Warren, Emma Messick, Francesca Hagamen

To prepare

  • Know the locations of all stairways on your floor

    • “A” – Lafayette Street side of the building

    • “B” – Mulberry Street side

    • Your primary and alternate

    • How far is the stairway door from your desk?

  • All pull boxes

    • “A” & “B” stairways and the center of the building near the “C” elevator

    • Know how to use it

Active Shooter Protocol

Please review the video 'Run, Hide, Fight'. Be advised the terminology used in NYC is: AVOID, BARRICADE, CONFRONT.

Non-Fire Emergencies

Includes: Gas leaks, suspicious packages, hazardous spills, etc.

Tenants will be instructed to Evacuate, In-Building Relocate or Shelter in Place depending on the location of the emergency

General

Relay information to FS/EAP Director as quickly as possible during an emergency, such as:

  • Dangerous condition on your floor.

  • Blocked or hazardous stairwells or exit routes.

  • Persons injured or requiring assistance on your floor and their location.

  • Other important information.

TBD- Puck holds 3 safety meetings per year. We highly encourage all studio members to attend when notified
